Money often gets a bad reputation. Some people believe that money itself is the cause of many problems. Others assume that people with wealth must be selfish. But wealth does not define a person's character. There are generous people with great wealth, just as there are selfish people with very little. The truth is much simpler: MONEY ISN'T BAD…. GREED IS.

Money is a tool. Just like a hammer can build a home or break a window, money can be used to help others or to serve only ourselves. The money isn't making the choice, we are!

When children learn about money, they should never be taught to fear it. Instead, they should learn to earn it honestly, save it wisely, spend it thoughtfully, invest it responsibly, and give it generously. Those habits build both financial confidence and strong character.

Greed begins when we believe that having more is more important than doing what is right. It can lead to dishonesty, selfishness, and never being satisfied. No amount of money can fill a heart that is always chasing "just a little more."

On the other hand, wealth can create incredible opportunities. It can help families build a better future, support education, create jobs, care for those in need, and make a positive difference in communities. Money in the hands of people with integrity becomes a powerful force for good.

Financial education should teach more than dollars and cents. It should help children develop wisdom, gratitude, generosity, and responsibility. Success isn’t measured by how much money you have. It’s measured by how you earn it, how you use it, and how you treat others along the way.

Money isn’t something to fear. It’s something to understand. And when guided by integrity and purpose, it becomes a tool that can help build a better future for everyone.

Remember: Money isn’t badgreed is. Choose character over greed, purpose over possessions, and generosity over selfishness. Those are the investments that last a lifetime.
